The Institute for Data and AI (IDAI) promotes excellence in Data Engineering, Data Science and AI theory and practice, ensuring their co-evolution and their competent adoption across a range of disciplines to enable transformative, interdisciplinary, impactful data-intensive research.
Our vision
IDAI brings together researchers and educators from across the University around a shared ambition to address some of the grand challenges faced by our society, and with an understanding that this requires open collaboration across discipline boundaries.
To pursue its mission, the Institute articulates its vision around three pillars:
Research, Education, External Engagement.
Collectively, IDAI:
- Promotes excellence in data and AI-powered interdisciplinary research.
- Promotes literacy on Data Science and AI within the University, in consideration of the diversity of needs and requirements across disciplines.
- Amplifies our research through business, public and third sector co-creation partnerships.
